Charlotte Reynolds (She/Her)

Kia ora! I came to this work through my own lived experience – times in my own life when I felt stuck, uncertain, and looking for support. Having grown up in Aotearoa, I hold a deep respect for the diversity of people, stories and cultural perspectives here. I’m committed to creating a therapeutic space that is inclusive, culturally aware and shaped by empathy.

My professional background includes graduate training in counselling, psychotherapy, and psychology. I’m grounded in narrative therapy — a non-pathologising, collaborative approach that sees people as separate from their problems, and capable of rewriting the stories that shape their lives. I also draw on trauma-informed care, ACT, DBT, mindfulness, and other integrative practices. In my work with couples, the Developmental Model creates the framework for sessions – working through gridlock and building healthier patterns of connection. Over more than a decade, I’ve supported individuals and couples facing everything from anxiety and communication breakdowns to sexual concerns, infidelity and parenting challenges. I welcome diversity in all its forms, including gender, relationship structure, culture and identity.

My journey as a therapist is always evolving, but at its heart is a commitment to helping people feel more connected – to themselves, to each other and to a life that aligns with their values.

I respect your financial and time commitment to therapy. As such, you are welcome to book a complementary 15 minute phone or video chat with me to get a feel for whether I would suit you both. Following that, the first booked 80 minute session is a chance to explore each of your areas of concern and experience my approach in addressing them. If you are happy to continue I ask for a commitment of three more sessions to address the issue. Future sessions continue to be goal-oriented and committed to in blocks of four.
